https://thepointysnoot.com/2017/11/29/a-whippet-onesie/

this is a great blog post with a free pattern and assembly instructions, so between my attempt at copying the existing one and these pictures and instructions I should think I can manage something.

I had some yellow fleece I was going to donate... it's now going to be a coat for Maddie
The yellow fleece wasn't large enough so I cut up a blue checked blanket instead.

In the wardrobe / Doggie Onesie

My friends have adopted a young rescue dog of mixed breed but medium sized, slender and with fairly fine hair. After a walk, particularly if she's got wet, they put her into something I'm going to call a doggie onesie made of fleece.

They've given me the best fitting one to make a pattern so between us we can turn fleece blankets into more doggie onesies.
It's not overly complex, sort of like a poncho which joins up round the legs but is open at the belly and rear.
Wish me luck....

We've still got heating on but I do keep a bit of summer on one end of the wardrobe just in case.  I've not even changed the duvet yet and it was May last year.

I have gone down from 60D to 40D in tights though, which is a start.

Here it is finished and on the bed in the spare room; Scrappy and Wonky.  I did find more than enough pink for rthe binding.

I'm now thinking that it needs a pillow sham, but the 8" blocks are not compatible with a standard pillow case size of 50cmx75cm which is about 20" x 30".  I wonder if I can find even more pink and do it all in crumb piecing?

Sew Ruthie Sews' entry #4 Reversible Placemats
I sewed up some double sided placemats with sailing boats on one side and whales on the other.
I followed a video from YouTube on how to trim the wadding just outside the stitch line.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpOY6r07C9U
I hand sewed the opening closed and did a few rows of stitching to hold things together. I used the size of the other purchased placemats we have (smaller than the video).
