In the wardrobe / Re: Style Arc Flat bottom Flo pants

I've made several pairs without the stretch fabrics, you need to put a zip in or they won't pull up over your hips.  I've put invisible zips in the back of the ones I've made and they fit lovely, no saggy bottoms or "camels toe effect"  at the front.

Those fabrics are fabulous Manuela, my finger twitches and slips too so I'm glad I'm not the only one

In the wardrobe / Re: Facings - neatening, grading, understitching

I always overlock facing edges and seams, they always look ok and lay properly. In my opinion if you layer and understitch it adds too much bulk.

Sorry, I've never heard of them.  If it doesn't cost an arm and leg it would be worth getting.

It's a good idea maybe instead of it just being about leather and suede how about making it for any nightmare fabrics.

Thank you Acorn, I got the discount using the link you gave me.  I spent £28 and got it for £20, there was a discount on the hairbrush I bought as a filler item  0_0.
It still wouldn't apply it without using your link though so I don't know what's going on there. Never mind I got it in the end and that's all that matters

I've had my eye on a couple of Style Arc patterns on Amazon which I've had in my save for later basket for two or three weeks while I make my mind up if I really do want them.  They were priced at £9.99 originally, as the discount sounded so tempting I decided to buy them, however there was no discount applied at the check out stage.
I did remove them completely from my list and tried to put them in my basket again but still no discount.

You say he's athletic, if he's into weight training I don't envy you at all.
My DH was, it was a total nightmare trying to make him things, very broad chest and shoulders, massive biceps narrow hips with muscley legs but he wanted things really fitted to the point there was no ease which put a terrific strain on the seams.  In the end I gave up and told him where to go .
I wish you the very best of good luck
