« on: Today at 14:16:20 »
No problem @Ploshkin i am really glad people have joined in and enjoyed it.  I am knitting some fingerless gloves in slip-stitch at the moment I do also have some socks on the needles.

I have really enjoyed seeing everyone’s socks do keep posting  :loveit: everyone has done so well

Good morning everyone
Well that was a bit windy… but I did sleep quite well which surprised me.  Maybe my new mind set of not going to worry unnecessarily is working

I was a bit concerned about my new fence but as I said before the chap who did it has done a really good job, he might be difficult to contact but I am not complaining about his work.

We had a flurry of something that looked a bit like snow /sleet but nothing laid.

Not sure what to do today but it will be indoors of that I am sure.

@Iminei I hope all is well.

Thanks everyone with your help about the dentist, I just find it a bit difficult to cope with things lately.  I don’t think I want  a denture and will look into finding a new dentist.

It is the same with the garden I know I am overreacting, the fence I have had built is really nice, the chap who did it did a lovely job just not sure why he has disappeared, maybe it is due to the current situation.
I  have just realised that I am stressing over things that don’t matter right now and not appreciating how pleased I am with the fence,   I must not stress so much.

@Iminei yes it was me,  this is the thread https://thesewingplace.org.uk/index.php/topic,13695.0.html
I decide it was too Diane is back in the said box.   She says with dunce’s cap on

I am so sorry @Diane  it is supposed to read,’ I decided it was too difficult and it’s back in the box, she says with dunces cap on.”

Not too sure where my spell checker or whatever picked up your name and decided to play with it, serves me right for not reading before posting

I must say it gave me a good laugh when I saw this though which I needed this afternoon.

Thankyou everyone, I have been looking into changing dentist but as with everything else covid seems to have made that impossible around here except one very expensive private dentist, I will do so as soon as I can.  I think I am going to go to the next booked appointment and just ask him to remove the offending tooth.  I will just say I missed him in doors more this morning than ever.

Forgot to say @Greybird how pleased I was to hear you tested negative, I was beginning to worry about you.

Think I might need a quick Black Friday shop to cheer me up anyone found anything nice yet?

I am back from Dentist not at all happy, he messed about started 10 minutes late then announced it needed to come out and I need a denture ????? He hasn’t time to do today, because he had taken so long messing about , I couldn’t hear him well either,  so I have to come back ……. I have a serious problem with going to the dentist, won’t post details too much to post on open forum but just to say I ended up driving home in tears.

Phoned a friend and feeling better now but not too sure where to go from here, do I need a denture for just 1 tooth missing? This is a dentist I have not seen before so not sure, he insisted I did.

Good morning everyone
I am up early as I have a dreaded dentist appointment this morning, I hate going to the dentist, never mind I keep telling myself it will all be over this afternoon.

Hope your check up goes well @Silver Rose

Will be back later

Are you on Facebook, @Celia ?  Is there a local group in which you could ask for recommendations for someone to do the most urgent work?

No unfortunately I don’t do Facebook thanks for the thought

Well back home after trip to Guildford a first for quite a while. I did get the shampoo I wanted plus some elastic but other than that I was very disappointed. I was back in the car on the way home within the hour.  Will have to resort to the internet.

My garden is a worry as there is a gate with a gate post that is dangerous, at the moment  it is wedged up and means I have no access to the garden, the chap who is supposed to be doing just that job seems to have disappeared, I have been texting, phoning and emailing and no reply……….

The other work can wait a while but if we have a lot of rain I could end up with a bit of a landslide, that’s without the thousands of bricks that need to be removed.  This picture is only one pile there are more.

I will not worry, I will not worry ok works in the day but at night :boohoo:

Sorry must not moan but it’s hard when you just can’t get people to do things.

@hernibs well done for dealing with the mouse etc. it is the silly things I find difficult especially with the car
