Good morning everyone

Am off to visit Ma in law today, lateral flow tests done so we are going, not looking forward it she can be a very difficult person just hope she is in a good mood.
Hope you are feeling better soon @Iminei just take it easy and continue doing nothing but do try to eat well it certainly can help.

Looking forward to hearing about your new machine @Bill

Have a good day everyone

Love these patchwork jacket ideas.
Yesterday I sorted the left overs from my too and cut out a pair of knickers so a bit more used up only took about 20 minutes to make them I used this pattern but cut them about 1 inch deeper

I have now finished this top and am pleased with it, just to let anyone know the fit is interesting it is very loose in the body but the sleeves and the neck are fitted,  it too tight but more fitted than I was expecting.  The fabric I used is a very soft stable but stretchy jersey.

This photo is before it was hemmed

@Diane   well that picture is a tease what are you going to do.

I am going to go back to the sewing room this afternoon and see if I can find my sewing mojo, I have finished the free Jalie top so need to get new project under way, this is the point where sewing mojo leave sometimes so I am shutting the door firmly.

I also need to find my next knitting project

Good afternoon everyone
Late on parade again.
Well no surprises here the chap who is supposed to sort out my garden  and put up new fence etc did not turn up this morning despite me being told it was a definite date……. Looks like the next definite date is next Monday,I got a text message half way through the morning,  I know I am not going to keep my finger crossed that long but I have to decide wether to cancel an appointment have  I have only been waiting for the fence since last December.

My Son was pinged on Saturday and we are supposed to go to see my Ma in law this week not too sure what to do.
Hope everyone has a good day

@Diane thats a nice idea too, I am making mine for ma in law and I know she wouldn’t use a drawstring bag, she doesn’t knit or anything but   It would be less work

I am curious do you have a plan for what to do with the bands, I love making bands but got put off by a friend who is usually very supportive saying, they are nice but what are they for ….. I answered with a belt or guitar strap etc and received a very definite sneer.  Sort off put me off but you are encouraging me again.

Good afternoon everyone
Where did that morning go to……
I am in sewing mode but not sure what to sew next have been thinking of this
I thought I might make one for a Christmas present and fill with little gifts, biscuits etc. not sure I want to pay out for the interfacing as I have some iron on fleece, not sure if it would work though.

@Bill I make draw string bags for my knitting as I use circular needles they don’t need to be that big, I also did the advent bags for my friends grandsons and they still use them many years later.

One piece almost done just needs hemming, cat is asleep where that machine is so it can wait until tomorrow.  This is the free pattern on Jalie’s site.

It is very loose in the body with tight sleeves and quite a tight neck but I think I like it, it was left over fabric so a wearable twirl.
