I wanted to do this type of card for Valentine’s Day. But I wasn’t finding images meant for Valentine’s Day cards; must of those I found were for Christmas or Chanukah. A little research solved the problem. 

Redwork images, readily available for just about any holiday, work fine on card stock.

I had some fun with the new Embrilliance tricks I learned, from a Webinar, this week. I happened upon a design for a red & black buffalo-check truck. Since 2 of the bears wear red & black buffalo check PJ’s, it was too good to resist. I was able to delete part of the design, merge other elements in and change the angles of some items. So I made a cute little sleeping bag for little Jean-Pierre and his big brother Grand-Pierre.

Does it really need a special pattern? I’d think you could use your fabric with any teddy bear pattern.

@Iminei thanks for explaining that. It makes sense now. It would have been so nice if the instructions in the software explained it. I read & re-read them to see if I missed something. I didn't miss it; it wasn't there.

I suppose they could be.  I have succeeded in stitching a design, no thanks to the instructions on the software or my machine.  I now know;
1)To save it as a  Stitch File, not a working file.
2)It will stitch the big rectangle and stop.
3) Next, I need to hit the Start button again for it to start the actual design.
4) Move hoop, choose the next segment and repeat the process.

Update- I did manage to figure out hat I was saving them as working files, not stitch files. So I deleted the old ones are re-saved them.  This time, the design is stitching, but after it stitches a big rectangle.  I notice that the rectangle is loosely stitched. Are those basting stitched I am meant to pulll out?

I split the design to use with a 6” hoop that I reposition.  I tried it with a couple of different designs.
When you ask about the manual, @Ohsewsimple did you mean the manual for my machine or the software?
It’s page 31 in the machine manual.

I wanted to try a Split-hoop design. It seemed pretty straightforward, when I was working with the software. I saved a design to my USB stick and it broke it down into 3 parts, as expected.

The problem came when I tried to stitch it out. My machine (Brother PE535) just ignored the graphics and stitch out nothing but 3 overlapping rectangles. What am I doing wrong?

BTW, I looked at the manual from the machine.  It said nothing helpful.

When you say "split design' is that one where the machine does part of it & then you re-hoop or move the hoop for the next part?

It was a challenge to sew it closed and that seam doesn't look great. But i's done and comfortable to use;
