Thanks @Bumblebuncher  I looked to see where the show is being held and it is in the street in Islington where my mum was born. I won't  be able to go this year but  maybe next year.

I had enough fabric left over from the top I made to cut out some shorts this morning.  So I have sewn rhe darts and the front and back seams, I found a white zip in my habby box  so pleased with the progress so far. My new scissors were lovely to use.

Finished the hems today, nothing planned at the moment, I am having a sort out of my boxes of fabric. I am waiting for Minerva to  deliver some lovely bright yellow linen I ordered a while ago just as the stock ran out  :( , I'm not sure whether to make a skirt or a jacket out of it  :thinking:, my patterns box needs a tidy up too.

Thank you @Bumblebuncher and @Nevis5, when i bought  the  blue and green jersey I planned to make a dress but I thought it too gaudy but it works as a top I think.

@Nevis5  I didn't  sew many summery clothes last year  because of my hips and my summer wardrobe  was looking tired  so after a sort out in the autumn I  could see I  needed tops and skirts.  Looking  forward to warmer days keeps me going, I really do not  function well  in cold weather.
I put the zip in this morning and have tacked the seams ready to check the fit,  that's  it for today.

Thanks @Diane, Mimi is a bit smaller in the waist than I am now, too many cakes and biscuits over Christmas  :D  but she is fine for my broad shoulders and bust which I have had difficulties with getting a good fit.
