This is heartbreaking.
I'm very doubtful that you could sell this in a public arena for anything other than a pittance of its real worth or that anyone would want it enough as it seems an extremely personal quilt ...with the pic on the back etc.

I agree with BB, a large charity with plenty of scope for selling tickets might be a good option or have you thought of donating it to a museum, a local one or one with some ties to your mother in law or with a Quilt related emphasis ???

I heard it was the Muslims that leave a mistake or an unfinished bit in their art as only Allah is perfect ... I imagine its a pretty generic thing.

I did the same in my flat when I decorated as I ran out of border just 6" before the start of it so just left it!

From the pics posted, there doesn't seem to be anything obviously and disastrously wrong...

Are you sure you are not being too picky ???

I posted a pic of a quilt with a misplaced design on FB, not one of the dozens of Quilters who viewed it spotted it ... so (even tho' I knew where it was) I left it!

Well we do need pics and your link doesn't seem to be working at the moment, but worry not there are plenty of peeps on here who will help you with whatever you need help with.

For hand quilting, Lowena will be your go to girl ...
Any maths problems and colour theories are wonderfully covered by The Goddess Of Colour and Magician of Maths, BrendaP ...
And for QAYG and WF quilting, I can offer some advice.

Looking forward to seeing this UFO of yours and hopefully we can get it landed!

Just to let you know as soon as I received the membership requests from Kenora, Vezelay and Mudcat  I sent out the Registration emails, so obviously something is going awry.

We will be looking at upgrading certain aspects of The Sewing Place in the New Year as our hosting renewal approaches.

No wonder the marriage didnt last if he instructed her to do things ... crafting is a joy and not something you should be told to do!!!

I like the vintage floral idea best; Im thinking Sanderson, William Morris and Laura Ashley here ... Something I wouldn't normally like but I think would suit this perfectly.
