Title: Cabinet for long arm machine
Post by: annieg on June 07, 2018, 10:15:27 AM
I have a Horn Cabinet (some 20+ years old, but they never wear out!) which accommodates a standard arm machine.
My new Janome 9400 is too long for the drop-down shelf so I'm looking for a replacement.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a cabinet or table?
(Needless to say I'm trying to avoid spending £1000 on a new Horn Cabinet!!)

At last year's Festival of Quilts, RMF sewing cabinets (http://rmfcreateyourspace.com/) were exhibiting and I think they had cabinets suitable for the larger machines, but I wonder if they are a similar price to Horn cabinets. One of their cabinets is on offer at Franklins (https://www.franklinsgroup.com/product/rmf-special-sewing-machine-cabinet/), so it might be worthwhile giving them a ring to see what size machine it will take.
