Hello
Tom Drew from Nottingham, very new to sewing but want I am interested in making some things for my adventures out with my little boy. This lead me to researching machines and falling into the rabbit hole that is vintage machines! Not helped by the fact I've always been mechanically minded and love tinkering I can sense this is a dangerous place to be!!! Long and short of it is I'm now the proud owner of a Singer 201k MK2! Already eyeing up older hand crank machines for no other reason than I like the look of them and could do them up to look and work beautifully.
So yes that's me really. Going to learn to sew stuff, probably simple stuff like bags and covers and things like that, but who knows where it could lead.

It's already happened!! Though not quite how I was expecting it. I've acquired an industrial overlocker... I have absolutely no idea what to do with that! :scream:

Thank @b15erk, I saw a 611g on offer near me. Only had the zip foot & straight stitch foot and only arrowhead cam number one so wasn't sure if it was worth it. I believe you like your's a lot don't you?

@TomDrew , yes, it's a lovely machine, and it makes beautiful buttonholes with the buttonhole attachment.
Mine was only doing a straight stitch when I bought it, but I did manage to fix it myself. I was lucky, because for £20, mine had the plates, and the chain stitch adapter as well. I use it on a daily basis.
£20 well spent!
