This would be an industrial machine I think? I'm not sure if anyone here has experience with machines of that kind.
Perhaps a specialist forum might help more, like this one I found with a quick google?

Ebay or Gumtree are good places to look, hone your searches for local area and collection only and there are some nice bargains to be had - if you see one thats further afield Shipley can sometimes be very helpful and efficient.

and check the current that it uses - my 95k has a 500w motor that has made it a complicated mistake really.

Having said that there are some good and compact servo motors on ebay if you can only get the head or the motor looks dangerous.

good luck and please share your progress/hunt!

The Jack motors are good quality and reasonably priced. For instance: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jack-Industrial-Sewing-Machine-Speed-Controllable-Motor-Will-Fit-Most-Machines/164092634362

I've just bought another to experiment with... :ninja:

@Roger I would have thought that if you just rearranged your machines nobody would be able to tell whether a new one or two had slipped in...

I've just bought a 95k40 in a cabinet, much like the one you wrote about way back in 2017 (https://thesewingplace.org.uk/index.php?topic=1576). 10:30 tomorrow it will be loaded into my car, and driven to its new home.

Not quite sure how I'll sneak it past Mrs Twingo.

i have a soft spot for 95Ks they're cute... like a 99 but massive and heavy yet oddly stumpy, I hope you enjoy it, I think they're cracking good machines - but I need a motor for mine that uses home current without blowing the circuit...

I hope you'll show us and tell us all about it?
