Hi everyone!,
I started sewing at school, many years ago and over the years have made curtains, home furnishing and a few clothes but it was always out of necessity rather than enjoyment.
I‘ve recently treated myself to a new machine which does a lot more than my old basic Singer and now that I have a bit more time on my hands, I‘m looking forward to trying something a bit more ambitious.
Looking forward to chatting with you all and swapping ideas and tips!

Welcome to TSP.
We are nosey on here and like to know what you are sewing, whether it's a shiny new model or a good old faithfull vintage machine.

Hello and welcome from me too :D

Hello @jayney p welcome :drink:

Yes, welcome - and we are nosey - I just wonder what part of Germany you are living in.....if you are comfortable disclosing that...North, South, East or West? Danke (and that's 90% of my German!)

Hi Janey and welcome!

Thanks, what a lovely welcome!
@hernibs - I live in a little village in the back of beyond, about 100 km‘s north of Frankfurt Main.
@BrendaP - I‘ve bought an Elna Experience 550. My first choice had been the Janome or the Brother but all the popular machines are apparently in fairly short supply at the moment, (lockdown seems to have brought out the creativity in us all! 0_0) but I‘m pleased with it so far
.Hello and welcome to the forum. There's always room for one more spaniel! :woof:
That‘s Humphrey, my assistant!

@jayney p Elna and Janome are the same company. My coverstitcher is the Elna 444 which is exactly the same as a Janome coverpro 1000 just with different stickers on the front. The guarantee card for the Elna was posted to Janome.
