Me too! Another first for me, I think I see the method OK, and I like the idea of the matching and guessing. Hope Iminei has got it too.

To be honest, I didn't enjoy it much either.  If there was another big one, I would only cut out the pieces in stages, as they were needed.  Still, I feel as though I have learned something.

DIL came for a visit and we got to work and finished our April blocks.  I didn't like the colours I had chosen for accents because they didn't make the flower stand out enough so went with some I had used before. Hope they are in a suitable place when the pieces are put together.  Cutting out was massive, I tried to do it all in one go, with the  result that some got rushed and weren't as accurate as they should have been, making me problems further on. Still, it's done and I'm ready for the new one next week. Let's hope it is not as massive as this!

Overlockers & Coverstitchers / Re: New Coverstitch Machine.

That looks good. I wanted a belt loop  for my machine. My accessories are very expensive.  Hope it works well for you.

And still some to do. There are 80 steps in this pattern and last night I had to unpick something that was not quite right. Now only have to catch the waistband lining down by hand, fasten the belt loops and fix the fixings - including a buttonhole. The thick fabric hasn't made it any easier, nor has having the ironing board on the floor below. I think if I did it again, I would use a fine suiting.

@Iminei  I don't think it makes binding, it folds and puts it in the right place along the edge of the quilt so it can be sewn in one pass. It's like a bias binding foot.  I think I would prefer to sew it on in two steps, easier to control.  It took me a little while to get the hang of bias binding.  I wouldn't want to unpick binding on a quilt,

I'm not going to finish in time.  The six pieces of waistband are now reduced to two and one is sewn on. the other is waiting for the fly facing and I'm going to be a day short - again.  There was a time at the beginning of the month when I thought I'd get the trousers done, dig out a length of material from stash and quickly (hah!) run up a posh frock as well. At least they will be out of the way tomorrow.  Tonight, just too tired.  Well done those who finished.

I have the problem too. Hernibs PMd me and it hasn't come through.   Sometimes baulks, sometimes connects.
An idea: does anyone else have access to the server who might have a grudge?

For Sale, Wanted & Free to a good home / Re: Patterns for sale.

Weirdly, it's now 12 and the message hasn't come through yet!  Whatever happened to the superfast internet they are always promising?  Perhaps it would be quicker to swim across the sea with the message in your teeth (please don't)

656
Yes, it was Giotto. I'm glad you have it, I was holding off messing mine up in case she needed a copy, but I'm glad not to have to do it!

657
Just thinking I might have time to trace it tomorrow.  Thanks for posting today!

@Giotto  I can trace it off tomorrow, if you let me know today. Things get a bit busy after that.
