I have this machine... I love it for piecing, the foot thread cutter is fantastic.
-
That looks like the Juki version of the Husqvarna Megaquilter and the Janome 1600P. And the Janome is still available new (although discontinued, I believe), and costs £899...
It's a fantastic machine, but that price is seriously odd! My Megaquilter (second hand but absolutely excellent condition) cost around £200 earlier this year.

Well you can see a thread here, I've got no money to spend on a new machine but I'm trying to lure in somebody else to spend money >:)
Actually this machine was always dearer new than the Janome clones because I remember looking at it before I got my Mega Quilter. It always gets very good reviews though. Maybe it is more 'industrial' than the others.

The Megaquilter doesn't have the foot operated thread cutter, and as far as I can see there isn't a socket so that you can add one (although I'd be delighted to be proved wrong!) I think the Janome has the socket so that one can be added, and the Juki clearly comes with it as standard. Not enough to explain the price, but maybe there are other things like that...

I think I paid around £1100 about 4-5 years ago.

It's lighter as well at 11.5kg, the old 1600P is 16kg and the HD9 is 14kg.
