Title: Brother Innovis V3
Post by: Bodgeitandscarper on September 25, 2018, 13:29:46 PM
It's arrived!  Mr DPD didn't seem very happy with carrying such a huuuuuge box!
Not sure if I'll actually have time to play with it today though, but will tell you all about it as soon as I can  0_0

Just had a very quick go, it winds bobbins fairly quickly (I used pre-wound ones on the old Janome), and it does stitch smoothly.  It is much faster too.  Of course the best bit about it is the size of the hoop, 300mm x 180mm (although I have ordered the upgrade pack with a 300 x 200mm hoop!).
Just stitched a little design and added some lettering to it, looks great.
More to follow another day...

It looks fantastic - I'd love one but, sadly, I'd have no use for it. :S

I have had mine 3 years now and love it. Did you get the design software with it? (mine came with it free)

No free software unfortunately, but I already use Embrilliance Essentials.
I have now also bought the Premium upgrade pack, so have two new, wider, hoops, one is 300mm x 200mm, and the other is 200mm square.  I ordered it from BSK, who rang me the next day to say that although they should have had one in stock, but it had gone missing, so they were getting Brother to deliver it direct to me, could be two or three days so she'd refund my delivery charge - it came the next day.  What great customer service from them both. I can't wait to have time to actually play with them!

Yes I do. It's a nice size for quilt blocks although I do have a 9 and half inch one now as I have also got the XV.

You've got the XV?  Not jealous at all, no, not me...  :o  ><

Ooh @Nuttywife59 an XV.  I'm not sure I'd have space for one that size.  But I'm sure if I really wanted one I'd find it!   :).  Now, are you thinking of trading up to the new XP?   I could not imagine spending that on a machine.

No I'm more than happy with my XV think it's going to take me years to get my head around all the features on it.  At the moment I have used it more from sewing than embroidery.
