It was 20c and sunny here on Saturday....ditto yesterday. Today it's 6.5c rain  and blowing a gale. No wonder we get confused  :faints:

In the wardrobe / Re: Making a full length flared pencil skirt

There seems to be a little bit of a train at the back.  If this is the case, you need to elongate the circle on one side to get that effect (think more egg-shaped).  If you are doing the stripes,  I personally would do the stripes in individual pattern pieces, based on the base shape, but don't forget to include seam allowances.

To get the shape to hold, I would either do some netting to hold the shape out or use horse hair braid in the hem.

No, absolutely not, not yet.  I turned the heating off and to put it back on.  We took the duvet off, in favour of 2 light blankets and I'm freezing.  I am still in my heavy jumpers so don't be fooled by that glimmer of sunshine!

Wow!  These people have WAY more patience than I do - that level of precision would drive me nuts!  I liked the gothy one with the skull, the Japanese-ish one with the tree, and the one that riffed on the US flag particularly.  And the cake stall....

I see that some of you aren’t able to view them. A bit later, I will pick out a few & post them here.

Yeah I've given up and put the central heating back on today.

Although its not switchover time quite yet I would quite like to have a big try on session and see what needs donating and what might need replacing.

That looks really interesting, I have knitted a lot of traditional mittens but not gloves.

In case anyone else is interested here is a link to some of the patterns available https://shop.theswi.org.uk/products/swi-sanquhar-gloves-pattern
