I have been making little owls in an attempt to use up the WoolCool packaging. It's surprising how much stuffing is needed to make these little owls! Here is a picture:

Years ago I blogged the pattern I made for these....That particular post had thousands of hits!
Lovely little creatures.

I got these from the web so maybe one could be yours :)

I just found your pattern @Efemera and they are so so cute! I love them and the colours <3 and will try your pattern as it wasn't one I found for mine. :) :vintage:

They're too cute. Do they have a purpose in life, cos I'm thinking they look like doorstops....?

Ones obviously a pincushion

I liked that idea, but then wondered if I could stick pins in an owl (daft innit).

Well I was thinking pin cushions as the tallest one is only 3 inches high :) or to hang on a Christmas tree if using festive fabric.

Not daft. My daughter bought me a Liberty dress form pincushion and I've had her so long the print has faded in the sun, but I've only just psyched myself up to stab her with pins.

I must admit I do feel a little averse to sticking them with pins so don't put them near the eyes ;) Perhaps hedgehogs would be a good choice :)
