« on: December 03, 2021, 11:00:27 AM »
Its Friday, its the end of the week, hurrah.  It is warmer that it was yesterday, double hurrah! And I'm looking forward to a lovely day in London tomorrow, with lunch in the Walkie Talkie building, triple hurrah!

Have a lovely day all!

So is that it? are they all in ??? Is there some way I can procrastinate a lil longer?? Oh Bum!

Nope!  It's all down to you now @Iminei.  No pressure  :P

I've seen some feedback on blogs and such that the Mood patterns are often not very well drafted so if you decide to use one you will be well served making a mock up first.

edit: fix grammar error  :boohoo:

I don't have the luxury of being able to make any clothing straight from the pattern....... (anymore)

I love that they are all similar yet different.  Fab idea and great job!

I initially tried a light bodice canvas but it was too stiff for the princess seams to lie flat.

Just a note for future, should you ever need it, if you are using canvas, you need to mount it on an interlining fabric (I tend to use cotton lawn).  The canvas pieces are the bodice pattern pieces, without seam allowance and they are sewn onto the lawn through the pattern and the two pieces used as one but the seam allowance fabric is only the lawn.  I hope that makes sense!

Re the lining I would always sew lining in after the zip.

Mine went first class yesterday.  Hopefully you will have it today @Iminei

Just thinking about this further, if you are concerned about the dress being pulled down, I would attach the tulle to the lining, that way, the outer front will not be pulled down and distorted (although I think this unlikely anyway!).

I think you should wear your skirt with something like a silk blouse and a big chunky bling-y necklace.

That is a fabulous suggestion @charlotte

I'm feeling a bit left behind here but my fabric hasn't materialised yet.  Once it lands I will be onto it toot sweet.

I can't do mine until Sunday, so you are in good company  :*

I’ve voted

@Bill im not so far ahead of you in the knowledge stakes!

I could probably manage one block, if I'm not too late.

Good idea.  Nice to have a garment you can wear from something you couldn’t.  I’ve got a jumper I’ve never worn and plan to make a cardigan from it.  Even if it’s edge to edge it will be better than not using it.  Don’t wear jumpers any more.

I have one of these remakes that has been sitting in my UFO pile for a looooooong time (longer than I would care to admit to actually).  I've made an tacked on a button band but I think I ground to a halt as I was going to a hidden hook and eye closure but have not actually got round to doing that.  I also bought some fabric to make a skirt to go with it, which, yep you've guessed is in the UFO pile.  Actually, it hasn't even made it to the UFO pile!  :scream:
