I loathe snails but will make an exception for that one.  It's brilliant!

Gorgeous colour, @Silver Rose  - I'm less adventurous than you and am currently waiting for a delivery of dark brown needlecord for trousers.

I've been wondering about them, too.  Not that I need any more patterns of course... ::thinks::

Patterns Discussion / Re: Style Arc patterns, is it just me?
« on: July 16, 2023, 08:47:31 AM »
I seem to have a lot of Style Arc patterns but haven't actually made up many.  I'm not sure I fit their body block very well and so I need to do a lot of alterations.  My best efforts have been the Courtney top which I've done twice and which get a lot of compliments - odd because I wasn't that keen on the way it looked on me.

I prefer Tessuti patterns, they look a bit blocky and handmade on the site but actually the designs are well drafted and they look a lot better on my old bod.

Hooray!  Great news, @Bill  !

I know, @Ouryve  - I actually BOUGHT a practically identical one in Malta last year when it was considerably hotter than I'd packed for.  It was a ridiculous price (too embarrassed to say how much) and I've worn it constantly even though it doesn't fit very well round my chesticles.  So when I saw this pattern it was a no brainer for me.  I'm excited about getting it done xx

I agree with the others, @marylou  !  Wear what you like - these are comfy everyday styles which are very fashionable just now.    What do husbands know??   I know mine would secretly be equally disparaging but he knows better than to say anything to me about my clothes.    I'm about to cut out the Tessuti Iris dress which he will hate

Current Projects / Re: Christmas Craft 2023
« on: July 11, 2023, 08:56:59 AM »
I would love to make Christmas presents for the family but have no one who would appreciate it.  I have been thinking of making DH another Hawaiian shirt as he's lost so much weight his others are flapping around him but that's all.  I have made loads of fabric bags in previous years which I insist on having back and re-using, so no need for more of those.

I have no idea where we will be spending Christmas this year so am not planning anything just yet.  But good luck to those who are!  xx
