'm in danger of running out of backing fabric so may have to add patches that don't match

No probs with that ....

Phew ... Thank you ..

The whole story can be found HERE if youre interested.

The fabrics were from a Charm pack, Makower or Lewis and Irene ...  Rainy days or something like that ... (It was a long time ago ... 2016 to be exact)  That I chose as part of a workshop I went to.

I'm beavering away at my blocks, here's a sample  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  . I now have 22 out of 36  :faints: I'm hoping to find enough dark fabrics to make sashing and odd coloured bits for cornerstones.
I'm off to look to see if I have enough light blues for a couple of blocks........ :sew:

@Lowena  ... Where have you got these fabrics from??? I thought you didnt have stash ????

Just to clarify (wonders whether it is wise to post this, head only just above the parapet)

The Bow Tie block, made of two fabrics, background and featured fabric,  has a snowballed corner in the middle of the block to indicate the knot in the bowtie

I sewed them onto a very old ... Think University age ... orphan block I had kicking around, nicer than receiving them clunking around in a paper bag!

Enjoy!

Oh you girls would have laughed yourselves silly seeing me attempt to get to the button box ... The sewing room is still very much in .. ahem ... progress , which of course means the Spare/art/sewing room that was is inundated with 'stuff' ...

So please try to imagine me trying to stretch my small legs over piles and piles of stuff to reach my button box without causing catastrophic landslides of fabric, boxes, threads ... but I did  ...

Ive revived this thread at the request of several members ...

As some of these buttons were snaffled on the first go, please click on the pic that interwsys you and click the I for info to see details, price and if they are still available

So here you go Folks, A blast from the past ....

 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Malaising the day away, unable to get started on the almost finished Quilt (WHY???)
I suddenly, for no reason thought of my long ignored button box and the delights held within!

When i used to be a get up and goer I had a (very, very) small concern making waistcoats to fit anybody and everybody and I  (ahem!) accrued a great many glorious buttons...
that since have laid quietly in the Button box...Until now!

I am now offering these buttons for sale at the prices I paid(ish) in the '90's.

There may be the perfect button for you, a twin to the one lost on your favourite outfit or just something darling that you couldn't bear not to have ....

Whatever, I am open to reasonable offers on multiples and all prices include 1st class postage!

so step inside ........

Had a go at sewing some more scrap blocks this morning, but as I still have Covid, I found I didn't really have enough enthusiasm to do much

These strip blocks take ages to sew, much longer than a normal P&Q block so I must say youre doing really well @Sheilago

Then by mid-May/early-June I should have trawled a few charity shops for anything worth reusing; but not sure if that would count in the stash one though!

Not quite charities stash, but my ex's shirts could have gone to the Charity until I realised quite how much gorgeous fabric there was in them ... Two quilts and two cushions later ....

You can always snip a teensy corner off the wadding ... I actually find wider bindings easier to mitre.
