@Iminei . I would think that Doughty's warehouse is nearer to me than any roadshow. The issue I found last year, though, was that during roadshow season their shelves were somewhat depleted.

eta Having looked at the schedule, it seems that the roadshows go on all year!

Yes @Iminei, it's finished and on the guest bed. It is the first post in my 2024 diary.

I may add some more straight lines when I feel so inclined, or I may not.

Your potential sewing room is a Good Thing and I hope to inspect it in due course  ;)  Mr Bear and I have booked a few days in Dorset as I wish to go to the Wimborne Folk Festival on Saturday 8th June.

eta Snap! @SewRuthieSews

PS how do you turn a line of https gobbledygook into a neat linky, please?

I don't see why not @So Chic .

The 'entry form' such as it is, is towards the end of the first post in this thread. It's just a brief explanation of your entry and a photo (or several)

I'm rather like that too @Lowena - and I have a inbuilt liking for geometry and symmetry - which is why I've booked myself a day at Sew Forest of Dean in mid-March. It's called 'Improvisational Quilt Sampler' and I intend to be duly inspired!

I have had my jeans pattern printed out. I don't think it will be used all that soon  :[

I have once sewn a button on using my Pfaff, just to try it. Worked OK, but well scary and I'm not convinced it wouldn't come off if the thread end got loose.

Comparable with Flamingo, then.

I first went on another site I'd seen recommended and the price kept going up and up and there seemed to be nowhere to request the sizes that you wanted included in the print. Luckily I remembered that I used Flamingo before so went with them.

Good grief!

Reasonably priced too, I presume?

I've finished painting the skirting boards in the dining room! However, it does have to do with sewing because the dining room table is my big space for jobs such as tracing off the jeans pattern that I have coming, for cutting out and for quilting.

I think I'd need to see that in practice @HenriettaMaria but I'm glad to hear that it all falls into place!  When I saw pics of the hexi cardi all I could see were right angles  ::thinks::
