Curious to know what they bring with them?  Are they just a patchwork place ?
Extremely curious too as they are going to be 15 minutes down the road from me  :o

Fun with Fabric / Re: Workbench Mat Material Suggestions please

Would vinyl floor covering do it?  There are so many variations on the 'pretty' side you might be able to find something suitable? The underneath is very like a mouse mat and you would be able to buy a small bit of it cheap in most carpet type places.

@kowgiirl.up That is my usual option but on this occasion I am determined to finish it
I am doing the starting the next thing while struggling through with this.  I have finished the wrap skirt and been doing world book day things, then creeping back to the shirt and having another go, been at it a month now
I do have Monday and Tuesday next week, it is possible... just!

@kowgiirl.up I am absolutely 100% positive I am not going to complete three items as one of mine just would not do as it was told!
I love the colour of those shorts and well done for completing what you have completed  :D

Look what we did  :D

Very proud little boy did all the sewing on this, I have already attached the trim on the neckline as it was probably a bit difficult for first sewing lesson!  It is his medieval style belt draped over his shoulder.
He is coming back tomorrow to do his chainmail (he has had an upset tummy so not at school until Friday as per regs on that kind of thing) and already told mummy he wants his own sewing machine  :D
Not bothered that it is now very unlikely that I will finish the first bits of my capsule wardrobe by Monday, they will get done but this was so much fun!

How frustrating when you have spent so much time and put so much effort into a project.  I do hope it all starts to behave itself and put it's colours back where they belong!

A bit late but I was there! I got stuck into the last part of my blouse and got one sleeve in when I noticed an issue with the back yoke. Now I don't know if it is just that i didn't attach it all properly or if there is a tear in the fabric for some reason but it has a definite rip on the yoke seam  So tomorrow I will undo the seam and reattach. I am just grateful I noticed before attaching the second sleeve or I would have undo the whole lot!
So annoying as it was so near the end I was hoping to finish today.

I got the Dumbme on the dummy and shoved wadding into various places.  It actually is no wonder I have a trouble with fitting as I appear to have a body much longer than a dummy.  Apparently I also look pregnant . well I did until I realised I hadn't padded the back so it was technically me pushing my tummy out  now I just have a big tummy!
I have given up for the moment but will finish it off tomorrow and take a pic.

@toileandtrouble Thank you so much for the offer but I am putting it over my adjustable dummy and throwing some padding up into those other spots (bra already attached to dummy so that does not need much attention).
The old dummy is broken and I can't open up some parts of it in particular the waist, it does appear that Dumbme is going to work well as all it will need is a bit of padding for shaping but does fit in most places.
I was torn between doing this and buying a new form and doing the bra bit, but I really want to lose weight and feel that maybe looking at the 'real' me shape will spur me on a bit too

My back is killing me!
Just got cut out and going to have a cup of coffee.  I had to remind him not to strangle me at which point he did go near my mouth with the duct tape but a raised eyebrow stopped him going further.  After the coffee I have to tape the back together and see how it looks.  Pics will follow of the finished product but, quite honestly, we were both struggling to keep going after 30 minutes and the last 30 were more 'let's finish' than ' let's do this properly'

@Ohsewsimple I will admit I am concerned that OH might just stick some duct tape on my mouth and leave me there for a bit of peace and quiet
@b15erk OH is already quietly panicking about doing this in the first place, but I will get a pic for you, even if it is the end result and not me trussed up like something from a "special" kind of movie

Just got back from buying vast supplies of duct tape to cover my ample bosom
I will be doing the duct tape dummy thing this afternoon so I suppose we can call that joining in with a sewing related purpose.
