Really nice jacket - just right for the upcoming cold days.

The cardigan is wonderful! As are the colourful mug rugs. And the reindeerfabric is soo cute!

There are such nice ideas here to see! I don't have an embroidery machine as I never could image what for, but now I get it...
@Bodgeitandscarper I think the keyrings are such a neat idea, I send a link to a friend with an embroidery machine.
@Celia The bag looks great, but I can understand it being too fiddly just for wrapping a present in. When my daughter was younger, I made simple lined bags to put the presents for her friends in. The children used the bags for storing all kinds of toys in it. Now I am down to sewing even simpler non-lined bags... Just so much quicker.
@Acorn  , I really like the spirit of your embroidery!

Well, I got lots of old jeans here - I still wanted to redo the cover of our camping chairs. Maybe I'll get around to it...

In the wardrobe / Re: rotary cutter

Of all my  (garment) sewing friends I am the only one using rotary cutter. Most people I know have patterns with no seamallowances, so the sort of 'wing it' and add the SA while cutting out. I don't trust my skills, so I always add the 1cm SA to the pattern and cut with a RC. I did try scissors, but then I have to cut next to the pattern, extending the SA and cutting wobbly and all that. Much more precise  with RC.

Wow, two very nice trousers - good fit on both!

I did not get to do anything to my trousers whilst at my parents house - time was spend otherwise. But I am sure to finish them this month.

That skirt reminds me of southern France, with all the lemons! Summer can come now...

I finished my pants today sans hem. Not too content with the drag lines at the back thigh (even though TNT pattern). Needs a bit of tweaking, but I am not sure if I will finish them in time. I need to pack up my kitchen, as the old one is being removed next week for a new one. I'll be visiting my parents over a prolonged weekend, so everything has to be done by Thursday. I will take them to my parents house, maybe I'll be able to work on them on the weekend. Even if I don't get them done, the challenge has been nice as it really pushed me to sew at least the pants this month.

Anyone sewing trousers? I finally cut out a blue corduroy one. The pockets are done, now comes the zipper. Not much sewing somehow these last two weeks. So, any fellow sewer out there?

By the way, I sewed jeans in January and left them unhemmed. I noticed a lot of shrinkage with my last pairs, even though I had prewashed the fabric. Again, the fabric was prewashed. The jeans shrank 2cm in the first wash and another 2cm in the second. I am soo glad I did not hem them yet!

The topstitching sets off the unusual yoke line very nicely! Good idea.

I think the yellow zip does the jacket good. Very nice jacket. Fun fabric!

Sounds good - a summery lemon skirt in the make (so looking forward to spring weather!) and a friend to rely on and spend time with. Both so very important.

I stumbled apon this video last week -a construction of a pair of jeans on an old industrial machine. Maybe its inspiring to watch?

I made a pair of corduroy jeans last week, it only needs the back pockets and buttonhole/button. If that is done, I  think I will duplicate the jeans in another corduroy. I REALLY need pants.

@Catllar Well done on your swimsuit! I really like the combination of the print (nice placement of pattern) and the solid fabric - it calms down the busy print. And this is only for show at home?!

@Puzzler my daughter showed me a feature on my phone last year (no iphone and yes, I am learning from my then 10year old!). It was in my settings: for a selfie, I just have to hold my hand up and it recognizes this. I combined this with a timer in the settings. So I can lean the phone on a table or shelf, step away, hold up my hand and it starts a 2second timer for a selfie! My daughter got my old phone last year and with that one you don't hold up your hand, but say 'click'). Maybe your phone got a setting like that?

@SewRuthieSews great hoodie! I would have felt the same about the neckline in the front -all the weight of the hood pulling at the front... it looks good! Any more of these, as it has proven a good sew?
