I know I should be working on my 2020 BOM quilt , but last night I got back into my sewing room for the first time since my mum died and there is no therapy like making a baby quilt. Also my friend’s first grandchild is now a day overdue, so it is going to be needed soon.
Decided just to make a different version of one I made before with appliqué farm animals (: I still had the cut out appliqué patterns and the blocks are simple blocks in blocks).. The mum-to be had asked for an animal theme and bright colours, so I had much fun digging out all my animal fabrics.. Hiw wonderful to do something normal again! :D

Wonderful, a simple bimple quilt is just the job to take your mind off things ... pop on a good audible book and you're away !!!
We'll need pics of course!

I'm making a simple quilt too ( accompanied by an audiobook of course ) as I was feeling panicky and unsure about sewing. It's good therapy....and......you get a quilt :D

That’s it finished and the baby is still not here : now 10 days late- poor mum to be! My friend requested an animal theme and bright colours, so it’s certainly bright and backed with yellow cuddle fleece.

It's gorgeous! And created in seven days, wow. What a lovely gift for your friend's grandchild.
