Sounds like a good idea @Bodgeitandscarper you can design it to be exactly what you need!

@Ohsewsimple I was watching a Craftsy video where the bag was made out of waxed fabric, she also showed how to add the wax to unwaxed fabric.

Yesterday I used the lettering stitches on my computerised machine.
First time other then when I was playing around with it when it was new.
It was really handy!

Well done to those who made it to Tuesday club!
I've come down with a cold and felt really rubbish so went for a nap.
However I have put the pattern pieces back in the envelopes for the last 2 patterns I used ( I use A4 plastic popper pockets as I can't get them back in the normal envelopes once I've altered the pattern pieces) and put them away in the cupboard.
I also hung up the enlarged RTW hoody in the wardrobe, moved the dummy back into the corner, put the pattern weights away in the drawer and generally tidied up a bit.

I have multiple machines

Sewing machines
Main computerised SM bought for my 50th birthday. Its got something like 410 stitches, across 5 modes. I use quite a few different ones from Mode 1 and Mode 2, particularly straight, zig zag, overlock, bar tack, blind hem and several different types of buttonhole.
I also use the needle up/down, automatic thread cutter, and needle left/right quite a lot.
It also has an extension table, though I don't use this much.

I still have an older version of this machine which I've had for 20+ years, it doesn't have the automatic thread cutter and a few of the other stitches. I use it when I want to topstitch in a different colour and as a general backup.
I stuck with the same brand when I bought my new machine as I'd bought lots of extra feet over the years and can use them all with the newer machine.
The extra feet I use the most are - Invisible zipper foot and Walking foot.

I also have a vintage Singer machine which works but I don't usually use.

Overlocker
I have two overlockers, one I've had for 30 years and now has some problems and a newer one I now use in its stead. The newer one does a nice rolled hem, but is a different brand to my other machines so has been quite a learning curve for me.

Cover Stitch
I also have a coverstitch machine, same brand as the SMs I bought this 10+ years ago as I do a lot of knits and was unhappy with the hems. Unfortunately I've broken the thread guides so use freestanding thread holders instead.

Embroidery Machine
Same brand as the SMs, also bought 10+ years ago. Limited hoop size but uses USB for designs which I download. I dont have any software for it.

well done @PollyWally!
I dont have a great record with curtains. I left some in the living room of the last house which were not quite the same length. Not at all noticeable when they were open, but looked a bit rough when closed

@Flobear my sparkling stars haven't got very far yet, so please keep going and sharing, maybe it'll get me started!

I keep my bobbins in bobbin boxes, as long as I wind it round before I put them away its not an issue.
As to spools, I just wind the spare thread round and store them by colour, all facing the same way in a drawer with dividers, so it doesn't feel like something I need.

@WildAtlanticWay your layouts don't look like the original but I guess that doesn't matter.
As this is a Sewalong there is no enforcing of the 'rules' so as long as you know what you are doing that's cool.

I think the original video link got lost, can you share that again @WendyW ? Thanks

Phew, glad to hear you got it sorted.
I don't mess with my machines if it all possible and they've all been going for many years!

OK here's my board. I'll try to manage at least 5 hours on each project, though many will need more.
I've put The Sparkling Stars quilt in 7 times, one for each of the 6 sets of blocks and 1 for the quilting and binding.
I've thrown in some other crafts too, as I already have the materials for them and it would be good to give them a go.
I have also included my one (somewhat cursed) UFO.

Thanks to @WendyW and @Pearl for suggesting this sewalong. I'll be interested to see how it works as its a new one to me.
