That’s lovely, I really want to have a go at bag and purse making, you’ve spurred me on @RJR_38.

Yes you do!

Providing you know it will work with French electrics you really, really need one.

If it won’t work, just wait till you get home and then get one to help you get over the trauma of your enforced separation from your other machines.

Mine is going today.

In the wardrobe / Re: Paprika Patterns Opal Cardigan

I’ve been wanting to hear about a Paprika pattern.

I rather fancy their Jasper Sweater and it gets good reviews on PR but it’s nice to hear from someone whose judgement one trusts.

Why I should trust @Ploshkin rather than unknown ladies on PR, I don’t know but I do.

I’ve got the Bulky Seam Aid and use it all the time.

It certainly makes top stitching etc much easier.

It helps to keep the stitch length even when going over seams.

i'm now struggling to get Craftsey videos to play on my PC.  The soundis fine but the picture is very choppy.

I can view them perfectly on my iPad and have the ability to download them but I have downloaded a couple and am unable to find the files.

I was hoping I could download on my iPad and then transfer to an external hard drive but think its beyond my very limited capabilities.

@Ploshkin I’ll let you know tomorrow when I’ve had chance to play.

I’ve got that Alison Smith too and really don’t want to lose them.

I run the Firefox browser on my PC and have the Video Download Helper extension and another bit of software (can't remember the name, but Firefox prompts you on it so you don't need to go looking). It's all free and you can download the videos quickly and easily onto a Windows based machine. I can't speak for any other system, but I've just started downloading my classes today and it's going along without any problems.

Thanks @dolcevita , I have Firefox so got the extension.  I’m just wondering which file format to use. I suppose I could download several different ones and see which gave the best quality. Will wait till later though as my broadband runs slowly at this time of the evening.

That’s what I needed to know :D

658
I've nearly finished mine.  Are we waiting til later in the month or is it all systems go?

659
For once I know exactly what I’m going to do and since I finished DDs dress last night and had a quick tidy up, I have a clear work table :D.

Quick flit this morning, then a stash rummage.

I’m sure Imi will get round to sorting that out soon.

If we all list our likes and dislikes here it will get that bit out of the way. We are a select group so the posts won’t take long to sort through.

I have no preference for colours and am happy with just about any sewing  kit

The only thing I can’t get on with are wrist pincushions but other PCs are fine.  I would love a pretty needlecase to go in my class bag.

If someone wants to shop instead of making something, some fine pins would be wonderful.
