Google 'low-waisted dress pattern' to see the kind of thing that would work.

This one could be adapted from a straight-sided top pattern.  Just add a couple of box pleats at the front and make a sash to cover the hip seam.

I'm wondering what pattern could you recommend for a Roaring 20's/prohibition style dress? Sleeveless or short sleeves. Must be PDF downloadable (Preferred with A0 file).

Hoping to whip something up for a fancy dress party next week.  :)

Thanks for the comments :D. I now have the fleece backing for my second scrappy quilt. Yesterday I had a bit of a tidy up and found a bag of flannel scraps left over from making burp cloths, so I quickly ran up a simple baby quilt, which I might put in my Project Linus bag if I get it finished quickly enough. Here it is so far.
