Title: Maxilock stretch thread
Post by: Ellabella on January 21, 2018, 15:27:31 PM
After problems with my coverstitcher skipping stitches, I had a look around t'Internet and lots of people recommended Maxilock stretch thread, so I bought some.

I've finally got around to trying it and I am very impressed so far.

I've just hemmed a couple of simple knit skirts and normally I would have had some places where the looped thread didn't catch in correctly.  I followed the tension settings shown on the Janome/Elna FB group and everything is hunky dory.

I'm very pleased as including postage it wasn't cheap but I'm happy to buy it if it means I can get a good result first time rather than faffing about sorting things out.

I've just bought some Mettler Seraflock to try, I guess its something similar to Maxilock.  I'm going to try it in my machine as the bobbin thread for the necklines and hems of my jersey projects.
