'Come and celebrate all things quilting and stitching at a packed weekend to complement our special exhibition Treasured Threads: Unpicking Gunnersbury’s Quilts.

We’ll have talks by textile artist Ruth Singer, historic quilt expert Bridget Long and Curator of the Quilters’ Guild Collection, Heather Audin. Pop-up displays include Canadian Red Cross quilts, a selection of work by contemporary quilter Janet Clare, and Criminal Quilts, an art and heritage project by Ruth Singer. Support charity crafting activities by creating a patchwork block with Project Linus or a blanket square for Cats Protection. Make a Mug Mat at Sunday’s quilt-asyou-go workshop, or gain new ideas for embellishing your favourite old clothes at our upcycling workshops.

Please note, although you do not need to book or pay for entry, some activities need to be paid for in advance.'
