Simplicity 2924 baby bag.
Now I have done this kind of thing, but not for a few years and the memory isn't always that reliable.
Any advice from experienced bag makers welcomed definitely needed.
Thicker machine needle to cope with layers or would that risk making too big a hole in the fabric?
Will using a walking foot make moving the layers/keeping them together easier?
Any comments gratefully received.

Following this as I have just ordered the Summit Pack from Cloudsplitter, can't do a link on my tablet.
My eventual aim is to make it in leather but will do a trial run in fabric first.

Quick reply, yes walking foot is almost essential for multiple layers. Sharps or Microtex needles better than thicker needles.

Yes and yes :) I sometimes use Jeans needles when I sew very thick layers (can't find Microtex here).
Just wanted to add a tip: use clips instead of needles, it saves your sanity :)

Funnily enough I started to pin bits together but I was finding it difficult to keep them from moving, then remembered I had bought clips at K&S so got them out.
They definitely do a better job.
