I love this  <3

I haven't set foot in a Laura Ashley shop for decades.  They were always ridiculously expensive, and things were never the same after her son took over.  I'm amazed they hadn't already gone bust.

Always difficult to choose, but this time it was almost impossible, they're all fabulous!

I have one by the side of my bed, to keep my specs safe and free of scratches.

Should any of you ever get to Portland Oregon the US (I know, I know....) I highly recommend the Mill End, Bolt Fabric Boutiaue and Josephine's Dry Goods.  I managed to bring home four pieces from my recent vacation.
Portland, Oregon is definitely on my list of places to go soon.

I hated everything I bought from them.  Poor quality.

You could put a stitch marker into the third chain, so that you can spot it easily when you come back round to it.

Fun with Fabric / Re: Jersey 369g/m2 - too thick?
« on: September 11, 2019, 14:59:16 PM »
I think that is a light sweatshirt weight jersey.
The heavy stretch jersey I bought to make a skirt is 555g/sqm.
It’s very pretty, and recommended for ‘tops’.  I think it will be fine.

I bought the spring 19 magazine mainly for the poncho pattern, which I’m about to make (in a grey marl boiled wool, with black velvet covered buttons).
I enjoyed reading the magazine too, there’s a good article about pockets.  However, at £15 an issue, I’d only buy it if I liked the ‘free’ (haha!) pattern.
After reading this thread I found the book was on offer on Amazon as a ‘bundle’ with a Beginners Guide to Knits by Wendy book, so I bought it.  I like the raw edge coat, and the stretch pencil skirt, and will probably make those.

Yes, I made it a few years ago.  I didn’t like where the sleeve cuffs hit, right on the crease of my elbow, and it also had a bit of a ‘pregnancy smock’ feel about it.  I wore it a few times, tried folding the cuffs in half and stitching them into that position, but I ended up ditching it.

In the wardrobe / Re: Love Notions Harmony - Full bust version

Lovely!  Your bindings look great.
I also made this recently, but wasn’t happy with my fabric choice.  I used a Liberty fabric, which I thought was a tana lawn, but seemed more like a voile, and was rather too transparent for my liking!  (Which is why I didn’t post a photo!).
I made the full bust version too, and it was a great fit after I lowered the bust dart by 3/4 of an inch.  I put a narrow rolled hem on mine, but I like your bound one better.
