I really thought you were going to say that your husband wanted a welding mask but couldn't get one... so you sewed him one...  :o

My (shockingly large) stock of pdf patterns has a real advantage here, because if they were lost ina  fire I could just re-download them!

My top pattern is StyleArc's Kim, followed by StyleArc's Jules (a recent addition, and I have only made one - and that's a (wearable) toile - but I LOVE it).  Then there's a pattern that was originally based on Lekala 4517, but now looks just like StyleArc Harlow - it fits and flatters me incredibly well.

Have you looked at the Curvy Sewing Collective?

That is a secret known only to me and my sewing room.  And I only have a vague idea.

310 in Britain with my surname, none in Ireland.  67 in England and 22 in Ireland with my maiden name, and my Mum's maiden name doesn't even have a listing.    ><

I think @sewingj is right.  As I understand it quilts as coverings are not recommended for under 2 year olds these days.

As I understand it (so no guarantees of being right!) the sashing is exactly what you say - the strips between blocks.  Background fabric is the backgrounds to blocks like the flying geese one (April?) and may or may not be the same as sashing, as you please.

I like the effect of having bothe the background and the sashing the same, but there is just as strong an argument for not doing.

I love your fabrics.
