Title: Quilters Companion Machine Embroidery Launch Edition
Post by: sewmuchmore on July 18, 2020, 17:21:19 PM
Another new mag/book about using your embroidery machine. This is an Australian publication and is a substantial read. Full of projects and free downloadable designs, despite the title it is not all about quilts. Lots of practical advice for both beginners and the more experienced. On the down side there are a lot of adverts about super duper machines to tempt you.
I bought a hard copy from Newstand (£10) only to discover that there is a free digital version available from here (https://freemagazines.top/quilters-companion-machine-embroidery-2020/)

Just had a look online ... I would prefer the hard copy, easier to read and better use of space when your embroidery machine is hogging the table, also no evidence of how to access the free designs ?!

There are boxes alongside the instructions with links to the free designs, although I had to copy and paste them rather than clicking on them and then one had an error in the url (a . where there should have been a / ).  One was an £8 design that became free, though.
