I've been trying to change mine too but each new one I pick is either showing sideways or upside down and I can't find anyway to rotate them.

Vintage Machines / Re: 1936 (I think) Singer 99k worth it?

I'd steer well clear, meet at a junction so you'll have no chance to try it or inspect it properly, cash only so no PayPal back up :scream:

@purgatory Are you using the same pack of needles on both machines? It's just a thought but if you are it could be a bad batch of needles.

Thank you everyone, I'm going to use the ideas you've given me. I'm not too happy thinking about the sleeve heads though some of them have tape stripes running from the neck right down to the sleeve cuffs but I'll do what you say and try it on 1 of the older day 😉

Thanks @Bodgeitandscarper:scream: :scream: :scream:
I've barely been in the sewing room for over a year and now with loosing my dog I really don't feel I want to be in there because he was always in there with me, not only that the chances are DH will put some weight back on once he's bored with this blooming exercise lark he's doing now.

DH has lost 4 stones in weight and has about 12 branded polo shirts He want's me to take in for him. They are too good (& expensive) to donate to a charity shop and there'd be no chance of me trying that one. I'm quite cautious about altering sports wear has anyone tried anything like this? Give me a tailored suit, dress, shirt or anything on similar lines and I wouldn't have a problem but sports wear .
Any help would be really appreciated 🙏🏻. I do have an over locker and at the moment (to me anyhow) and that looks the way I'll need to go so that's not a problem unless of course you know different.

There are some nice patterns on sale, I agree they do seem to be directed at the more mature lady but as I fit into that category 😳 if I could get back to sewing there are 3 or 4 I'd definitely buy.

Hi @DrMike welcome from me too, you could have a look at the following 2 links, perhaps they'll have something. Is it definitely a Scottish tartan, not Irish. I'm struggling with buffering on my computer today and can't get the links to open for Irish Tartan manufacturers so can't post them for you but if you Google them you may have more luck. (This one is showing something similar on the home page.

The items you've achieved are lovely and a lot more than I've managed. All I've done are a few masks and dog toys along with a couple of cat toys for my sons cat.

Tech Know How / Problem posting a photo!
« on: December 20, 2021, 21:33:14 PM »
I tried to post a photo a little while ago in the cafe but when I had a look to see if I'd done it right my post wasn't there. I tried again but got a message saying I'd already posted it. My subscription is paid so I know it can't be anything to do with that. Can anyone shed any light on what if anything I've done wrong or is it something to do with the site. Thank you.

I've tried again 3 more times but I'm still getting the message saying I'd posted it, I'm also getting what could be am error message saying
attachment 0 msg = 265716 and the screen is going totally blank, I've even tried a different browser.
