G'morning mine started with a nose bleed while still in bed at about 6.30. Always get them with a cold, was v susceptible to them as a kid, so haven't outgrown them then  :o

Nothing more to do in the garden so I'll drag meself up to the sewing hut this aft and carry on with the sewing machine cover. Pieces are cut out and ready to be edged, I sorted the top with the cut-out piece already  :)

Have a good day all

I have done welt pockets, I love them but, boy, they're tricky.

I had six practices before I felt confident to put one on the trousers.

G'morning OH is home so my little car is back, I can go to the shops  :)

Tis a gorgeous morning, the sun is shining, so I'll do a little more gardening, it's a long slow painful death  ><

Planned on a shepherd's pie for tea but think it might be too warm, what else can I do with minced lamb?  :S

Have a good day all, even the superstitious ones  ;)

G'morning I feel v poorly and sorry for myself this morning. Had a wasted day y/day just lolling around so don't want a repeat of that, thank you. Trying to summon some energy and inclination to get busy. I've just remembered I'd promised to make a sewing machine cover for my friend while she's on holiday, eek! So that's what I'll start with  :S

Have a good day all

I'm a big believer in wearing whatever you want to wear, regardless of age, size or owt else.

Just wear them @Iminei. Why not wash them every time you put a load on, they'll soon fade  :)

G'morning. Well I've got the lurgy and I'm going shopping with mum who's also been under the weather, so a joyous morning in store for me  :S

I gave the fence panel two coats of paint y/day and it looks pretty good so I'll give it at least one more another day, the weekend has good weather forecast....I'll feel better by then  ;)

No plans for anything else, no sewing on the go, the dust can stay where it is, I'm gonna flump.

Have a good day all

G'morning my neighbour has given me some eating apples, we'll see if they're sweet enough or if they need sweetening, bearing in mind my faves are pink lady

Today I'm expecting a  :woof: food delivery, and a friend is coming round this aft to pay me for a few patterns I gave her last time we met up  :)

Hoping it doesn't rain as I have a fence panel to paint, the forecast says it won't so, fingers crossed

Have a good day all

Fun with Fabric / Re: Fabric suggestion for trousers
« on: September 09, 2019, 12:01:39 PM »
Thanks @Sara-S @Greybird these trousers have a zip fly and front pockets, do you think crepe will be stable enough to hold up to this?

There's one fabric shop in the next-ish town that I need to visit to see crepe and get a feel of it, I know I've never used it before  :S

G'morning I'm going out this afternoon for a sight test and will choose new specs, yay, been wearing this pair for a good four years  :o

NDN have builders round digging up the patio for a new extension so it will be a noisy mucky few weeks  :(

OH is away until Thursday and I can't help always feeling lazy when he's away, I quite enjoy being on my own. Well, with three hounds I'm never alone   :loveit:

Sending love @Lisalou1965 you did all you could to give her a good life

Have a good day all
