Today... One thread per day / Re: Tuesday 1st December
« on: Yesterday at 12:36:37 »
Lovely sunny day here.  We have been out for a change!  :faints:  Been for a walk by the sea.  Took a flask of coffee and chairs and sat on the grass looking out to sea.  Chilly but very nice.  Feel better for that.

Might be able to get most of the Xmas pressies wrapped in the next couple of days and posted.  Will have to do Royal Mail collection.

Don’t know what to do the rest of the day but I suppose I ought to make our nut roast for Xmas dinner.  Haven’t found a recipe that I particularly like so will probably do my own thing like I usually do.

Top loading bobbin machines don’t need oiling.  Those with a separate bobbin case do need oiling.
One waytobe sure is check the manual.  If it doesn’t mention oiling it doesn’t need it so don’t because you could ruin it!

@annieeg i hope it isn’t the bearings!   That often shows it hasn’t been serviced regularly and the bearings haven’t been greased.  The only way to find out is get it in for a service.  They’ll soon tell you!  :)

Fun with Fabric / Re: Fleece

Oh @Iminei. I told you I'd help you. We just need to find you some fabric that doesn't irritate your lil leggies.

Maybe something cotton?   I can’t wear polyester on my legs.  It makes them burn.

Lovely work.  I’d have had to undo it a few times.   :)
Isn’t it nice when you can use up bits that have been hanging round for years?   Satisfying!   And always feels like it’s free.

Ah ok @Stitches.  I see them on the site.  I’ve used that one for bx fonts for Embrilliance.

I use Embrilliance too as I have a Mac and there aren’t many embroidery programmes available for that.

It's the easiest way.  Why make life difficult? :)
My Husqvarnas have the lead as well but more difficult given the position I have it all set up.   We used to have a customer with a husqvarna and her lead didn't seem to work.  Her husband was one of these interfering men who had to know why etc.  She never used it and the machine and computer were in two separate rooms so what difference did it make.  :faints:
You're right about the memory in the sticks.  They prefer the smaller ones.

Ok well I’m halfway through something sparkly then!
It’s a 6 panel machine embroidered Appliscape for Xmas.  It has sparkly thread in gold and silver as well a fabric with metallic gold in it.

Always use a USB stick.  Download to Mac then transfer over.

Ooh does this have to be clothes?  I’m already making something with sparkles and shine but don't know if that is allowed as it’s already started.  :)
