Hello and welcome.

Just returned from the local village hall to get my first ever flu vaccine. I turned up for the wrong appointment time but they allowed me in anyway. Do I need to read the double-sided info sheet they gave me or should I just wing it?

Pattern tracing, ironing, food prep and cooking may take place today. Not making any promises.

Stay warm. Stay sane.

@Gernella, that's so comical about your kitty making demands to turn on the treadmill. I'd love to see a video of that. Perhaps you could make kitty an outfit for the Fit for Purpose contest!

Earlier I shopped at Sainsbury's before the mad rush this morning. Spent far too much but I bought some staples that will last. I also bought and tipped some stuff into the food bank receptacles.

I'm on a mission to organise my patterns - mainly the digital ones - and am making progress. I have several AO sized patterns that need printing so I have everything to hand if the urge strikes.

Apart from that another quiet day at Puzzler's Palace. A few more hours of work to go and then it's the weekend. I'm getting my first ever flu jab tomorrow morning. Most excitement I'll have had all this week.

I received my fabric for the yoga pants yesterday from Frumble Fabrics. Very nice 2-way stretch fabric with good recovery and not too thin/heavy. It's intended for leggings. I ordered too much so might end up making the yoga pants as well as leggings. I'm also fed up with black so bought navy blue. Next step is tracing my pattern and making any necessary adjustments to that. I like the way Style Arc has a notch in the trouser patterns that indicates the knee. I have shorten the pattern at this point for my stubby legs.

Was thinking there wouldn't be many sheets but it is a worry when there are 80 tiles  for a swimsuit pattern! :scream:

:o Why are there 80 tiles?

Just found this Ebay shop. Haven't tried them but they seem to have a lot of nice prints - many John Lewis and Liberty designs.

Some seriously gorgeous fabrics here! :loveit: I had to stop after the tenth page. I could feel my heart rate increasing.

I iron tea towels for the same reason - to fit in the drawer. I'm now storing them in a deeper drawer so I find a good hand smooth does the trick for most of them. I can relate to ironing mountains though. I tend to procrastinate and then do a marathon session while listening to a podcast or audiobook.

My heating has been on non-stop during the last few days. It's drizzling outside and I do not fancy a trip out of the house. Tomorrow it's meant to be even colder.

I have a light box that someone cobbled together for me. It’s big and cumbersome but one of those things I don’t use for ages and then suddenly comes in super handy.

Tired and grumpy. I was woken up a little before 2am by my son who was playing a game in his bedroom. It must have started annoying him because he was swearing and then stamping his foot on his bedroom floor.  :headbang:
The game wasn't on very loud but the foot stomping woke me up.

How about learning to play a musical instrument? Cymbals perhaps? You could practice when game boy is asleep.

My only issue with the Patternsy tissue is that I would like to trace my pattern onto Swedish tracing paper to make it more stable. I preferred the lightweight paper used by Dotty Print and potentially others.

I also have a magnetic seam guide - you can have two! It doesn't work on my Bernina 801.

I've typed a response twice and deleted it. Went for a walk, filled my car up with petrol, did some sorting of patterns and a few bits from my sewing closet. I am hoping to donate some stuff to a school once it's safe to do so. Dreading my first day back at work.

Happy Birthday, @justpottering:cake: :flower:

Happy Birthday, @Spencer:cake:  :flower:

How about a TSP pyjama bottoms sew along?  I’d definitely join up.

I like the idea of sew alongs more than competitions.
