It's time to dust off your dancing shoes

to celebrate the birthday of two very special TSPers.

Many happy returns to

b15erk

and to

Elnnina

Hoping you both have a wonderful day

You could use half square triangles or nine patches to make filling strips.

If you look at Jen Kingwell’s quilt Long Time Gone, you can see the blocks she uses to fill gaps.  You may also want to look at Katharine Guerrier’s quilts.

Hi.  It was sunny here earlier but is now overcast.

I've been to visit my mum.  DS1 came with me because she was having a problem with her iPad and needed him to set up the Alexa that my brother bought her for Christmas.     As she has only just learned how to use her mobile phone (to answer calls), I'm not sure why he thought that was a good idea.

Cooking the roast and starting my next knitting project will fill the rest of the day.

Have a good day, all.

(I tried to find a cake covered in calligraphy, but there were none!)

Find?  Surely you mean ‘make’, @Acorn .

Do you intend to make more blocks, @SingingSinger ?  Like this kind of thing?

  (image from Keepsake Quilting)

If so, you can use sashing  to make your churn dash blocks the same size as each other and filler blocks to make your quilt in rectangular sections like this:-

It doesn't have to be this complicated a plan.  All you need is a piece of graph paper.

Looking forward to seeing what you decide to do.

I woke to find that we had no internet, so I had to go into school to teach the Zoom lesson I’d volunteered to do on my day off.    :boohoo:  Love that emoji!  Last year, my New Year’s Resolution was not to volunteer.  I’m reinstating it for 2021.

Not sure how I forgot to put ‘birthday greetings’ in the title of the thread.  It was 5:08 though.

More than one of each but variety is good, @StitchinTime.  Please could I have the one on the right in the middle row?

13
I need about 20 x 5” squares.  Those in the middle of your pic would be perfect, @Iminei .   :*

Thanks, @StitchinTime.  They need to be white-white to fit in with the ones I didn’t ruin.
