Vintage Machines / Frister Rossman 45 Mk1 feet?
« on: July 25, 2018, 13:15:05 PM »
Could somebody please tell me what feet this model takes, Frister Rossman 45 Mk1?  I may have the offer of one shortly, much cheaper than the new machine I was saving for  :) Would it take standard Singer feet, please?  I still have a box of some left from my Singer 201 I sold.

So grateful for any help, thank you  :flower:

Patchwork & Quilting ... Welcome to the Darkside / Re: The Village

Beautiful  :)

I agree with @b15erk, a lovely rich blue would be wonderful.  For me personally, brown would be too dull and depressing.  Such a gorgeous quilt wants a rich 'look at me' colour  :)

Sewing Machines / Re: Janome HD2200
« on: July 02, 2018, 16:57:53 PM »
Thank you so much for the replies  :flower: a huge help  :D I am hoping to get my new machine for the Autumn!  Now to find a desk to put it on, Argos or Ikea I hope will have something suitable.

@Mr Twingo my computer literally went bang and died! The computer shop said it was the power supply unit, and it can't be repaired, or anything salvaged from it :'( not sure if they were trying to sell me a new one???

Thanks everyone  :flower: Back to the packing boxes now, if I don't melt into a puddle first, it is so, so hot  :P

Sewing Machines / Janome HD2200
« on: July 01, 2018, 18:02:27 PM »
What are your thoughts, please, on the Janome HD2200?  -<  I was saving for a Toyota Oekaki, but also like the Janome enormously because it's strong and simple.  Having had my desktop computer fail irreparably at just three years old, I am nervous of spending on a computerised machine  :(

I am looking for a machine for quilting, some dressmaking and for curtains, dog bedding and so forth.

Having let all my  :vintage: machines go, I am without a machine until later in the year and would like a new, shiny one  :D but it's a huge investment and I would be very grateful, please for any advice  8)  :flower:

This is lovely  :)  Definitely one to try later in the year, it looks beginner friendly - I see a cushion cover in my future  :D

Thank you for all your hard work on this tutorial  :flower:

It is a pretty  :frock: I admire the lady for having made it at all - braver than me  8) she is obviously delighted with it, happy wearing it, and surely that is all that matters?  A bit like wonky veg, absolutely fine, and so much nicer to wear 'me-made' :D

There is a lovely cut out scuba skirt made from Butterick B6326 on the blog which I think is so pretty, and achievable for me to make  :)
