Mines not too bad at the moment.

I do appreciate having a space that’s just mine :loveit:

Mind you I’m going to have a go at bag making once my hardware arrives so that will mean bits everywhere   [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

@UttaRetch I have exactly the same sewing cabinet, do you still have the original machine inside?

Many Happy returns from me too. :flower: :toast: :cake:

That’s how most of us started.

Have you got a cutting mat and a rotary cutter yet?

Dolls and Toys / Re: Kitting out a baby doll

@BrendaP I'm going to get this pattern but won't make any clothes until the doll is bought.

I've told my daughter to let me know the size as soon as possible.

I can start on the carrycot though.

Now all I have to do is to see what else I need from jaycotts. 0_0

I am very excited :faints:

DD has just announced the GD is getting a dolly for her second birthday in late October.

They were always determined that she wouldn’t be dressed in pink and surrounded by unicorns and fluff but she has a very maternal attitude to her cuddly toys. She spends hours wrapping them up in various blankets, cuddling them and singing them to sleep.

I’m thinking I can make a fabric carrycot and bedding and very simple clothes. Not up to @Ann of course but something a toddler can manage.

Looking forward to this.

Oh that looks really snuggly, not ugly at all.

Before I go mad can some one just confirm if I’m doing this right.

I need two curtains with a width and half in each curtain, so I need 3 x the overall length (curtain depth plus top and twice hem depth) plus two pattern repeats.

I’ve been asked to knit a Wonderwoman hat for DGD, no problem. I just had a little look on Pinterest to see what was required and then adapted a basic beanie hat pattern.

I’m conscious I’ve done a lot of things for GD recently but not a lot for her older brothers so I asked them what hats they wanted.

The younger one asked for a Batman hat so that’s easy peasy.

The very grownup 8 year old said he thought he was too old for a Superhero hat but could he have a Fortnite one please.

Now I know he won’t want anything Grandma can make for much longer so I’m happy to oblige.

I’ve looked at the merchandise and I can make the hat easily but I can’t replicate the font, which I have a feeling is very important.

Does anyone know a resource  which will turn an image into a knitting chart?

Incidentally he might be too old for a Superhero hat but his 41 year old father is really hoping I’ll knit him one

FOR SALE Janome Coverpro accessories.

I have the extension table, the adjustable seam guide and the wide elastic gathering attachment.

The table only had light use and neither of the feet have been used but there is some discolouration to the packages of the feet.

I’m looking for £45 to include 1st class P&P  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
