I buy cheap scissors and use them for everything ( including paper  :ninja: )
I use a rotary cutter (45mm ) for cutting fabric

I don't have a stash per se. I buy for the next, specific project and try not to over estimate the amount needed.
But
Sometimes I am given pressies of fqs and sometimes I have fabric left over from a project.
I only keep pieces bigger than a fat eighth
the smaller bits go for shoddy or are used in rag rugs.
This quilt is made from gifted fqs and leftover fes.
Now I've explained myself @Iminei  may I ask how your offering for this sewalong is progressing?...pics please
It's good to see some activity on The Darkside, let's get as many participants as we can  :thumb:

I'm beavering away at my blocks, here's a sample  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  . I now have 22 out of 36  :faints: I'm hoping to find enough dark fabrics to make sashing and odd coloured bits for cornerstones.
I'm off to look to see if I have enough light blues for a couple of blocks........ :sew:

I've never had a jelly roll that's frayed. I hope you persevere @Celia and join in. Am looking forward to what, mainly lightsiders, make.
I'll start when I've finished my current quilt top. I can only have one project on the go at once.

Good for you @Ellabella I wish I could be creative. I have to follow a written pattern, recipe, instructions step by step and not deviate at all  :embarrassed:

Whoopie! The more the merrier, the Darkside needs a big boost.
Rail fence, Square in a box, Courtyard steps, Friendship star are all scrap friendly blocks.
I'll probably make mine for Project Linus.

Oh,I see @SewRuthieSews   :embarrassed: sorry, my misunderstanding ( old age I'm afraid  )
Right....I'm back on board  :thumb:
It would be great if we could engender a resurgence in The Darkside

Oh sorry, @SewRuthieSews  if it's by video I won't be joining in.
