Sorry, I'm hopeless at links and stuff. I used a tut by Sannari on youtube, titled easy lined drawstring bag   :loveit:

@Puzzler @Jane happy birthday  :toast:

@Iminei She's old school, good old books. I will ask her if she wants to try a new-fangled device and we'll see how it goes  :)

G'morning I see sunshine, yay, let's go to the beach   :'(

Y/day mum received a letter telling her to stay indoors for 12 weeks, so straightaway she's on the hunt for reading material. Her lifeline, the library, is of course shut and I don't have any books after we culled most of them a few years ago.

Up to now I hadn't worried about her but this will make me concerned for her sanity.

Hope to get something worthwhile done today

Have a good day all

@Bodgeitandscarper cheese and jam sandwich is one of my faves. I love a mouthful of ready salted crisps and chocolate buttons together too. Salted pretzel with chocolate. And I can spoon Horlicks out the jar til it's gone  :|

@Kwaaked happy birthday, hope you're spoiled rotten  :toast:

G'morning, I'm not involving myself in any peanut butter & jelly/jam malarkey.

So, done the  :woof: walk, the OH is at home after condensing 3 days worth of work into 2, he's going to finish the WM plumbing adaptation then I can get that going, I'm the not so proud owner of a small mountain of laundry  :S

The weather is still dull and cold so I'll do more cleaning up, still not spent any time in the SH this week.

Have a good day all

Well, I've been and done it. The stupormarket trawl at Aldi. Five minute queue outside, then once inside, people passing each other as normal, not helped by the crates and pallets clogging up the already narrow aisles  :S still no passata, rice, flour, or cooking oil, but got a decent weekly shop nontheless. I know people have said it before but who would ever have thought food would dominate our thoughts like this.

Chatting to the checkout lady I mentioned the frosty atmosphere following us around and she told me of the abuse they'd been getting as they had stopped allowing people to pack their bags in the store. Think she's been on the verge of walking out plenty of times

G'morning done the  :woof: walk's and pegged the washing out. I really need to get some shopping one day soon, I was hoping to avoid it but I can't   :S I have a couple of phone calls to make re: re-arranging appointments and ordering more med's for Poppy  :woof:

No idea what I'm doing today

Have a good day all

Patterns Discussion / Re: Am I mad to want to attempt jeans?
« on: March 29, 2020, 19:52:09 PM »
Definitely try. It sounds as though you wear trousers and jeans a lot of the time so if you can successfully nail a pattern you'll be well away. It might take a while to get the right fit but it will be worth it  ;)

Yes, @BrendaP they are lined, must say they do look nice with a lining. I've tried about half a dozen different methods, there are plenty of tut's on Youtube, that's where I look  ;)

The ribbon channel is simply turned in and stitched down at each end, after folding the long edges in to the centre.

Lovely fabric, it looks great on you. Be happy  :loveit:
