Sewing Spaces and Furniture / Re: Height?
« on: April 17, 2019, 12:54:31 PM »
My sewing table is 79cm, made for me by the OH. Smug, moi?  :loveit:  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I wouldn't trust a robot, or anybody, to tidy my sewing room, I'd be worried they'd chuck out something I wanted to keep. O hang on, that's just about everything  :S

Fun with Fabric / Re: Fabric suggestions please
« on: April 14, 2019, 19:21:47 PM »
I envisage a cotton lawn, maybe a cotton linen blend. It's tricky as you say you don't want the need for a slip underneath so do you go heavier and thicker or lightweight but more transparent.....?
One solution for a thinner fabric make is to wear longline tight shorts, think chopped off leggings  :P

@b15erk alterations make me shudder, I'm never successful. How about making them into a skirt, or is there just acres of fabric flapping about?  :S

@Gernella Thanks for the suggestion but I don't have room for another table in my sewing room, it's set up perfectly just as it is so it would still mean shifting machines around  ><

I must be dense, but, what are they for??  -<
Don't they attract /  collect dust??
They attract as much dust as everything else, unless you keep everything in sealed tubs  :S

It's in stock at Jaycotts, my experience of them is swift
