For Sale, Wanted & Free to a good home / Re: Singer 201

I seem to be lagging. Need three, love one.  :loveit:
That's a nice machine @Efemera. That price looks like a steal in ordinary times and these are not ordinary times.

Technical Help / Re: Thread problems
« Last post by Gernella on Today at 14:29:31 »
Well had a changeover this afternoon, both ends. Had a good try out and no problems at all so I think problem solved. I've got a few more Coates so they can go to the charity bag.  Not much point in keeping if they cause trouble with this machine.

Hot and sunny here again.  Already 29C and expecting hotter. It was pleasant when we got up but the wind has dropped now.
Sorted dinner early and got a line full of washing.  It will have to stay there until this evening!  We’ve managed coffee outside but I expect we’ll have to retreat indoors soon.

On the plus side, there are no workmen next door so reasonably quiet.  I think my kindle and I will spend the day together.

I’m reluctant to sell but there’s only so many sewing machines you need...

What a beauty! You'll have no problem selling this, especially now that sewing machines of every description are in demand.

Today... One thread per day / Re: Sunday hot Sunday 9th August
« Last post by UttaRetch on Today at 12:58:55 »
The sun is out, but it is less hot and there is a cooling breeze.

Took the parcel to the postoffice and got stuck behind someone who was collecting money.  He had to ring his dad about something to do with id and then wanted all the money in ten pound notes.  Mind you, the postoffice service in that WH Smith's is abysmal and Sunday morning seems no better.

It's really gloomy here today and looks like it might rain.  -< None forecast though. Doesn't feel very warm either.

I've got some washing done in the hope that the sun will appear later.

Daughter's done something weird with her hair.  >< She saw something online about drying your hair naturally with a t-shirt wrapped around your head, and your natural curls will appear in better shape.
Goodness me!  :o
She appeared this morning with a head full of glorious, loose, shiny curls. It looks in fabulous condition but she doesn't know what to do with it.  0_0
I must admit to feeling a bit envious. I'd love my hair to be like that.

Had a lovely day yesterday with my brother and his wife around the Ironbridge area. Drove through the town and had a drink outside a pub. Just a lemon and lime for me. It was lovely in the sunshine.
Brother was discussing and pointing out the height of the floodwaters earlier this year. It all looks beautiful now, but, ugh...imagine the upset of being flooded on a regular basis.

Washing machine's just beeped. Better get another load in.

Sandra.
