Morning all.  Well we’ve had the rain and now it’s beautiful and sunny.  Hope it stays that way.
Dinner prepped so free to do whatever, probably sew.
Have a good day.

In the wardrobe / Re: Jalie sweatshirt

@Ohsewsimple thanks!  I bought the mesh on a visit to Lucky Fabrics in Dewsbury a couple of years ago.  It was very cheap!  Always had it in mind for a sweatshirt with an overlaid front.
The stretch sweatshirt fabric is lovely quality, and that was an expensive online purchase from JerseyFashion.NL.

Rethink - haporth of tar and all that.
Skirting boards given second coat and decision made that I will not attempt to finish today (I really do not want to be painting at 9pm again).

Anyway I am still waiting for the call to tell me my new carpet is ready to be fitted so I do have some leeway.

Last year on the way to FoQ my car started making a beeping noise, I didn't know what is was so stopped and looked at the manual - low tyre pressure so I drove to next garage and topped up the tyres. Started to go and the d----d thing kept on beeping so out came the manual again - no help so phoned the AA, we'll get someone to you within the hour.(Friend didn't know either what it was) Fine so we went to get a coffee, three quarters of an hour later the phone rang, nice AA man, "have you pressed the reset button?" reset button,  which reset button ? - under the dashboard apparently, found it and pressed and hey presto beeping stopped. Now why didn't the manual tell about that ? grrrrrr, so now I know, this year I topped up the tyres early and then didn't drive to FoQ.

Fun with Fabric / Re: FQ's

I buy fat quarters from Cotton Patch (they always have well priced wadding) or from EBay. I find Doughtys delivery slow. On EBay there is a vast choice - just make sure you buy a brand name fabric: Makower, Moda, Robert Kaufman, Michael Miller etc. Most sellers are small fabric shops and I’ve found delivery quick and reliable.

Adding Zing & Bling / Embroidery software - thoughts please
« Last post by Tiggy on Today at 10:21:18 »
I have a Pfaff embroidery machine which I bought from my relatively local supplier.  I would like some software to play with and am currently running the free version of the Pfaff software which seems quite user friendly.  I can buy the software from my local shop, and get all the support I need but the most basic package is £400 ish.  To get the next stage, It goes up to £755!

I could use Embrilliance, but I learn best from having somebody showing me what to do and answering questions, I wouldn't get that if I bought Embrilliance, which costs a fraction of the Pfaff software - aprox £130.  I've tried the demo version and it is so limited that I can't really play with it.  I've watched some of the YouTube videos with Lindee Goodall.

I've tried the demo version of Embird and couldn't get away with that at all, despite it being another reasonably priced package.

Good morning, bright and sunny here - that's the weather. I've just prepared Sunday lunch, so far no phone calls (Can we come?) just you wait I've opened my big mouth ----------.
OH has taken it upon himself to clean windows, me? I may just find myself in the sewing room.
Have a good day.

Love it I do like Jamie patterns they are very adaptable too, which one is this? well done on the weight loss  :toast:
I love Jalie and they’re really good value as you get so many sizes included - could make something for all the family!
Sorry @Celia should have linked the pattern.  It’s this one.  https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&channel=mac_bm&source=hp&ei=CxBZXbLnJoTWkwX2uIiIAQ&q=jalie+sweatshirt&oq=jalie+sweatsh&gs_l=mobile-gws-wiz-hp.1.0.0.2374.7141..8222...0.0..0.128.1062.13j1......0....1.......0..0i131j46i131j46i131i275j46j46i275j0i10j5j0i22i30j0i22i10i30j33i160.5vbDLwPVtHQ#imgrc=_L1qTakUEZIvdM:
I lengthened it by 2.5 inches and omitted the bands.

Patterns Discussion / Jersey and lace top

I've seen this, which I love, on the Klasse website.

It looks to be a fairly ordinary plain jersey with a lace overlay.  Suggestons please for a suitable base pattern.  I daresay I'll have to fiddle with the overlay whatever I use.
