I've had this black nylony/outdoorsy/slightly stretchy fabric for ages, and thought I'd try it for a pair of shorts, using my much altered trouser pattern. I even made the pattern a bit bigger as the last pair of trousers seemed a bit tight.
I obviously didn't make it bigger enough. and it only has a very very slight stretch, mor e abit of "give" even, so it takes much breathing in and pushing the fat out of the way to zip them up. Sitting down may not be an option.
So, the question is, what's the best way to gain a bit more space in the tummy department for the next pair I make?
