Methinks we need a hat emoticon for Low...perhaps one with a fish on it

Ooh!  Sewing along straight lines, marked on paper?  Yes please!   0_0

Very, very simple, please  :D

FMQ - too scary for me but, maybe I could try a very small sandwich!!!  An hors d'oeuvre!!!
:D

Lowena, try!  Nothing ventured, nothing gained  8)

Oh Snowgoose, if only.....I tend towards, "if it looks too difficult, it probably is and I should therefore stay well clear"  :D
Thanks girls, I know my limitations but if I thought I'd be able to do it, I'd take you up on your kind offers  <3
aaaaand......you know the saying..........."if the hat fits; wear it"  ;) ( not that I have a hat of course  :P )

Be careful what you say... you may get one, and it will probably be GREEN.

I have done EPP - definitely grim. I don't mind sewing the bits together, but only if someone else does the prep work, far too much trouble.

FPP - picking all those little scraps of paper out of the seams can be very tedious. Yes I know you use a short stitch to make it 'easier', but it's still a fiddle. It is useful for awkward shapes, or particular effects, so it is worth knowing how it's done, even if you don't use it very often.

I shall watch you all, idly, from a discreet distance... :)

You just need to use the right paper DOB!

I will have a think about what sandwich of the month no 1 should be and I'll get some high loft batting so it photographs easily.

You just need to use the right paper DOB!

Last year I got a whole pack of such paper-piecing paper at Christmas, so I can provide DoB and Lowena with adequate paper  :D

Ok so I'll do a follow along thread for my FPP quilt (need to order fabric!) and I'll do a nice lot of how to and options for the FPP.

I'll also do a sandwich of the month, starting next month so people don't feel rushed! Should I pop it in the BOM board Imi? I'll do a bit on the basics as well as a simple FMQ design.

How much FPP have people done? Trying to work out some nice simple ones to start off with (got the first sorted, just need to work out what next!). Or what sort of things do people fancy trying out with FPP - guessing perfect points, and feature designs within blocks (like houses, animals, flowers etc?). Any requests please let me know so I can work the block into the plan in the right difficulty zone!

I've never done FPP and only vaguely know how it works.
Life's too short for ironing.

I've done a couple of quilts, a New York Beauty and one using Carol Doak's star book.
