MrC does all the washing-up - or other, he loads the dishwasher - I am not qualified to do that - apparently I have poor spatial awareness. I do the crystal and long stemmed glasses as he's a bit clumsy ( his words) He puts it away unless it's "not the usual stuff" so he won't know ( after only 16 years of living here) where it lives. Not a bad system.

have a fabulous time Cat can't wait to hear all about it  :)

Tell us more about your dancing weekend  :ninja:

Dancing weekend done and knackered - 3 hours Saturday, 3 hours Sunday. We have a teacher who comes from Avignon just twice a year and she works up a whole dance for us - we did a 7 minute piece  this time- and believe me that's a lot of choreography for an already overfull brain!! Toes are now frayed and bloody and nails have turned black  already- methinks a pedicure is now on the cards tomorrow to cover that up!

Hoping for a nice day tomorrow to get last laundry done, out for lunch, then keep fit in the afternoon then got to do some housework on Tuesday and repack and off we go on Wednesday!

Just to let you know I've not gone off in a huff, but we are off travelling again next Tuesday 8) so in the meantime I have stuff to do - all my sewing orders are done, room tidied, most of the washing is done, organising security and key with people - this afternoon off to police station to let them know house is empty so they can keep an eye on it for us.  Haircut this morning, spa and beautician tomorrow, ( weekend of dancing) Monday will sort out clothes and pack tuesday A.M. Then off Tuesday lunchtime.

Back end of March.  be good and play nicely.

Coming back to this topic - am having chewing problems again  - new blades or old blades or  ANY blades don't like scuba fabric - that's a shame cos I've got some waistcoats and skirts to make.

Lovely - well done, looks very positive!

Rather tasteful, I think.  Would look particularly attractive over the split crotch bloomers I prefer to wear, don't you think?

I'm not too bad now after my mahoosive clearcut last year of fabrics that were offending me or boring or sooooooo old I couldn't stand to look at them again. Now down to 2 large (twice the size of Manuela's ) boxes plus a 4 drawer chest full of interlinings and stuff that isn't pretty but necessary. I have one whole wall of IKEA storage boxes mostly full of cotton fabrics and haberdashery.  I am rebuilding my stash of old cotton sheets etc for muslins - so that doesn't count.

I don't have very many - Just two in each car. Being tight I don't like paying extra for bags when I go shopping as they don't give them away now here. I generally use a basket now and we get paper bags for veggies if needed - mind you, try putting handfuls of wet spinach into a paper bag - what fun!

What works for me is no alcohol (shock horror), no dairy and no wheat and low carbs. I'm trying to cut back a lot on the alcohol, doing dry January to start with , but those who know me know I like my G&T so this is hard. No dairy isn't difficult thanks to soy milk, almond milk etc and a local made cheese that is made from fermented chick peas ( no really - it is lovely) No wheat is a challenge cos I like bread so I try to restrict it to once a week.
Love to cook so lots of fresh veggies, loads of fish and what I can't do with courgette isn't worth knowing! :o  Made a shepherd pie the other day with no potato, just made a cauliflower mash with added magic cheese. Was very nice and the top browned and crunched!  I've been exercising daily - half an hour of yoga/Hiit, (that's high intensity short duration fused with yoga) plus 3 times a week to the gym, plus my dancing and extra walks as the weather is getting better. Since New year I've lost 2 kilos. Happy dance!

It occurred to  me that I hadn't checked my clothes in my case either - and a lot haven't been worn since our last trip to Oz 2 years ago, so I tried em on yesterday. All still fit - hooray, so no panic.

Mmmmm yummy! I can do high heels but have no occasion to wear them any more, sadly. Look a bit of a prat tottering around the local market in 4" heels!
