I would use a cotton singlet as I can't wear polyester against my skin it makes me itch.. you could buy a cheap cotton one and give it a try

DH is currently mending my ironing board 
it has been collapsing down a level when you push down on it.. several screws on the ratchety thingy were missing or loose so it was not holding in place... I posted about a replacement ironing board in the old place because the chipboard is disintegrating ... ( this ironing board a brabantia is 34 years old) but never got round to doing anything about it.. DH has decided to turn over the chipboard and coat the old top side with a glue of some kind to stop the shower of wood chip there are several screw holes in the new top surface but I hope a couple of layers of curtain interlining will cover them.. otherwise I will be on the hunt for a new board as well

I really struggled with this .. voting when there's only 2 entrants felt rubbish .. both outfits were fabulous and I would happily wear both.. perhaps the lack of entrants was because its such a busy time of year... Congratulations to both of you for your entries

I think you should make a toile Pearl.. this is a trial garment using an old sheet then you could check the fit before you cut into your nice fabric...

As a family that live by the weather... farming will do that for you ...DH 
would like additional information in a blanket as well as temperature he would like rain ice snow and wind recorded as well....

Well eventually I found it..the book ... down the back of the bed... bedtime reading

Yes I'm a good planner.. its the actual making and doing I struggle with.. I plan then go off at a tangent and make it in some other fabric
