I dug this out for using in the 6 PAC comp. It seems the fabric I remembered was entirely different when I checked the jacket it went in. I obviously had the same thought when I got it as I did when I dug it out

Found the paper. It's taffeta

Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

Considering the ticket says £3 a meter I'm doubtful it's silk taffeta! The actual taffeta for the dress (bookmarked but luckily not purchased yet) is a beautiful silk taffeta and pricey.

I may give it a go, worst that happens is I cut it up and do some taffeta patchwork or appliqué if it's awful
