I love the fabric.  I made a similar skirt and used bias binding as a feature in the waist and hem.

Getting there slowly, just the hem to do, all 12 feet of it. I'd better make sure I have a full bobbin in the machine.
I tried something out yesterday, I think I can get this skirt out of 2 metres of fabric although it will be 3" shorter. There was quite a bit leftover from the 3.5 metres the pattern requires. Sorry about the mixed measurement terms, I buy in metres but think and sew in imperial measurements.
I have got some bright turquoise and blue silky jersey which would be suitable. I had better finish this one first.

@UttaRetch  the skirt doesn't look much different than the last photo I posted  I didn't have enough yellow bias binding to put round the hem. I do like this pattern so will make another.
